Last few years of American Hegemong-Miss Universe 2007

Why is it just me?...last night as I watched Miss Universe 2007...the same plot that I watched years earlier under the ownership of an estate mogul, replayed its ugly storyline again.
America did it again successfully...its corporate mutliheaded monster hosted an international event, in a show filled with rigged judgement, inconsequential celebrities and cheap grandeur to award prizes to its backyard bosom buddies and conniving friends.
So, Miss America not only tripped , she floundered in her reply and looked visibly at mercy to the judges, such a poignant reflection of what America has become in the last days of the empire. Interestinly, no european contestant figured in the final five, why does it look "Deja Vu" that the Americas were infiltered in among 4/5 of the 5 final participants. None of the judges had any global standing, and if I can remember none were amply or ably known.Venezula couldn't be ignored despite its annoying leader. She was too good to be ignored, but little luck prevailed as her juror( asking questions) turned out to be , the profane spewing , uncouth ex-husband of Carmen Electra, a little known rocker (atleast to the 5.5 billion world humanity) ,..what's his name? can't even remember. He addressed his participant in the most unstatemanly manner "babe".I knew Miss Universe as a pagent that paved way for leadership and statesmanship.
I was wrong....and how naive for me to think that the aforesaid qualities would be represented in a pagent hosted by a majority of organisers from a country headed by a quasi fascist person who uses language in a manner of some street fight. "We will kick his ass out of the cave"(George W Bush) on war on terror.

What better would I have expected of a show beamed by NBC, owned by GE...(read my earlier essay)..
But truly these are the last few years of the wounded hyena, who is screaming his awkward cry to grab the little attention the world is willing to give. almost two thirds of the world's market(as human beings have become due to globalisation) now resides on the other side, not just the atlantic but far away in the east.
The old global corporations are having their last day in the sun, before the new global corporation rise to buy out or get bought out in boardroom deals where millions are to be made and given. It would bring little consequence to the people who inhabit these borders on either side of the planet. We are doomed to be dummed by our media mongers to remain stupidly religious and fearful of the other side.
If only we had followed Gandhi and travelled the other side( while we(america) were rich enough) that the plot would have been unearthed and a lot of the bloodshed would have been avoided.

Congratulations to miss Japan ..she is as beautiful as she deserves, but in these circumstances, every woman is being cheated by the gang of pimps that our corporations have become and your brilliance is just shadowed in the dark deeds of the empire. Hopefully the rise of India and China may bring balance or a similar skew when the world will be merrymaking another cruel joke thrust on us.

I have just one question in this receeding twilight,
why on earth are we sending the most brightest among the billion ...and among the largest young population in the world to compete in mediocrity that america represents. Puja Gupta deserved a better treatment..if not a better opponent. Lets boycott Miss Universe,
Long live Miss World( till it also gets bought out)
